How it works
How Does SciatiEase Work? Each Part of the Capsule Explained
SciatiEase is a nutrient supplement, not a pain reliever, built around PEA 500 mg per 4-capsule serving.
PEA is paired with R-alpha lipoic acid, acetyl-L-carnitine, benfotiamine, four B vitamins and a small herb blend, and each part has its own research.

The short version01
What does SciatiEase do, in plain terms?
SciatiEase supplies nutrients that nerves use, plus one compound, PEA, that has been studied for nerve pain. It does not block pain the way a pain pill does. It does not change the disc or bone that usually presses on the nerve.
The bottle says it "Supports Sciatic Nerve Health". That is a support claim with an asterisk. The asterisk leads to the FDA statement: the claim has not been evaluated, and the product is not meant to treat any disease (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).
4 capsules: PEA 500 mg, R-alpha lipoic acid 250 mg, acetyl-L-carnitine 250 mg, benfotiamine 200 mg, vitamins B2, B6, folate and B12, and a 50 mg herb blend. 2 capsules hold half of each.
Part by part02
How does SciatiEase work in the body?
SciatiEase works through its separate ingredients, each with a different job. No single pathway ties them together, and no study has measured them as a set.
PEA is a fat-based compound the body already makes. It is the part studied most for pain. Lipoic acid is an antioxidant. Acetyl-L-carnitine helps cells use fat for energy. Benfotiamine is a form of vitamin B1 that the body turns into thiamin (NIH ODS, Thiamin).
The B vitamins matter most when you run low. A B12 shortage can cause numbness and tingling in the feet (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12).
| Group | Per 4 capsules | Intended role | What studies found |
|---|---|---|---|
| PEA (AlphaPalm blend) | 500 mg | Nerve comfort | About a 2-point drop on a 10-point pain scale across small trials (Artukoglu et al., Pain Physician 2017) |
| R-alpha lipoic acid | 250 mg | Antioxidant support | Symptom scores improved at 600 mg or more; pain scores did not (Hsieh et al., Nutrients 2023) |
| ALCAR and benfotiamine | 250 mg and 200 mg | Nerve energy and vitamin B1 | Low-certainty or short trials, at higher doses (Rolim et al., Cochrane 2019) (Stracke et al., BENDIP 2008) |
| B vitamins and herbs | B2, B6, folate, B12; 50 mg herbs | Fill nutrient gaps; traditional herbs | Help mainly if you are low; herbs not studied for sciatica (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12) (NCCIH, Feverfew) |
Each line has its own profile on the ingredients page.
Who uses it03
What is SciatiEase used for?
SciatiEase is used by adults who want nutritional support while they deal with sciatic nerve discomfort. It is sold as an add-on to usual care, not in place of it.
Sciatica itself is a symptom, not a disease. Pain, tingling or weakness runs from the low back down one leg, most often because a disc or a narrow canal presses on a nerve root (MedlinePlus, Sciatica). A capsule cannot take that pressure away.
Never stop or change a prescribed medicine because you started SciatiEase. Weakness in both legs, numbness around the genitals or bottom, new bladder or bowel trouble, or pain after an injury needs emergency care right away (NHS, Sciatica) (AANS, Cauda Equina Syndrome).
The research04
What does SciatiEase research actually show?
SciatiEase research means studies of its single ingredients, not of the product. That gap matters, because doses, mixes and people differ from trial to trial.
The closest match is PEA. A 3-week trial in 636 people with low back pain and sciatica gave 300 or 600 mg a day, and pain and function improved more than with placebo (Cruccu et al., CNS Drug Targets 2019).
Why PEA leads the formula
PEA is the largest line on the panel at 500 mg per 4 capsules. That sits inside the 300 to 600 mg range from the sciatica trial. Take 2 capsules and you get 250 mg, which falls below it.
A pooled review found a modest drop in pain scores, from small trials of mixed quality (Artukoglu et al., Pain Physician 2017). Read the full profile on the PEA page.
Your day05
How do the SciatiEase capsules fit into a normal day?
Take 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 with dinner to reach the 4-capsule label serving. The sales page suggests that split (SciatiEase sales page).
Movement and sleep matter as much as the capsules, so the dial shows them too.
- Breakfast, about 7:30
2 capsules with a meal, the timing the sales page suggests. Prescribed medicine stays on its own schedule.
- Dinner, about 18:30
2 more capsules for the full 4-capsule label serving.
- Move through the day
Staying active, within comfort, is standard advice for sciatica. Short walks beat long bed rest.
- Night, 7 to 9 hours
Passionflower in the blend can make some people drowsy; take care if you drive early or use sleep aids.
Activity advice from the NHS (NHS, Sciatica) and clinical guidelines (Qaseem et al., ACP guideline 2017); passionflower note from NCCIH (NCCIH, Passionflower). The capsule times are the sales page's suggestion; follow your label and your doctor.
One bottle, two paces
A bottle holds 120 capsules. At 4 a day it lasts 30 days; at 2 a day, 60 days. The order page suggests 2 and 2 for months 1 to 3, then 1 and 1 (SciatiEase order page).

Why does the number of capsules change how SciatiEase works?
The number of capsules changes how close each ingredient gets to studied doses. At 2 capsules a day you get half of every line on the panel.
Only PEA reaches a studied range, and only at the full 4 capsules. The other nerve nutrients stay below trial doses at either pace.
| Ingredient | 2 capsules | 4 capsules | Studied daily dose |
|---|---|---|---|
| PEA | 250 mg | 500 mg | 300-600 mg (Cruccu et al., CNS Drug Targets 2019) |
| R-alpha lipoic acid | 125 mg | 250 mg | 600-1,800 mg (Hsieh et al., Nutrients 2023) |
| Acetyl-L-carnitine | 125 mg | 250 mg | 1,500-3,000 mg (Rolim et al., Cochrane 2019) |
| Benfotiamine | 100 mg | 200 mg | 300-600 mg (Stracke et al., BENDIP 2008) |
| Vitamin B6 | 10 mg | 20 mg | Upper limit 100 mg, not a target (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6) |
The order page once suggested 4 capsules twice a day if progress is slow (SciatiEase order page). That doubles the label serving and the B6. Ask your doctor before you take more than 4 a day.
Limits07
What can SciatiEase not do for sciatica?
SciatiEase cannot move a disc, open a narrow spinal canal or stand in for a medical exam. It is a supplement, and the FDA does not check supplements for effect before sale (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).
Most sciatica improves within 4 to 6 weeks. Staying active and using heat are first steps (NHS, Sciatica). Doctors' guidelines start with non-drug care such as heat, massage, exercise and spinal manipulation (Qaseem et al., ACP guideline 2017).
- It is not a fast pain reliever. Ingredient trials ran for 3 weeks or more.
- It does not replace gabapentin, a blood thinner or any other prescribed medicine.
- It cannot rule out a serious cause.

How can you tell if SciatiEase is working for you?
Track one or two daily tasks, such as how far you can walk or how you sleep, and score them each week. Compare at day 30 and again at day 90.
Sciatica often eases with time alone, so a better week may not come from the capsules. Share your notes with your doctor. The 180-day money-back window gives you room to decide (SciatiEase order page).
FAQ09
How SciatiEase works: common questions
What does SciatiEase do?
SciatiEase supplies PEA, B vitamins and nerve nutrients that support normal nerve function. It does not block pain like a pain pill, and it does not change the disc pressure that usually causes sciatica. Each ingredient has some research; the product itself has none.
What is SciatiEase used for?
Adults use SciatiEase for nutritional support during sciatic nerve discomfort, alongside usual care. It is not a treatment for sciatica or neuropathy.
What is SciatiEase good for?
SciatiEase is best suited to adults who want to try PEA at a studied amount together with active B vitamins. PEA at 500 mg per 4 capsules matches a sciatica trial range (Cruccu et al., CNS Drug Targets 2019). Its other nerve nutrients sit below trial doses.
Has SciatiEase itself been tested in a study?
No. We found no published trial of SciatiEase as a finished product. The research the brand points to covers its single ingredients, such as PEA, lipoic acid and benfotiamine, often at different doses and in different groups of people.
Does SciatiEase work like a painkiller?
No. SciatiEase is a daily supplement, not a fast pain reliever. The PEA trial behind it ran for 3 weeks (Cruccu et al., CNS Drug Targets 2019), so any change, if it comes, is gradual. For sudden or severe pain, call your doctor.
Can SciatiEase shrink a bulging disc?
No. Nothing in SciatiEase is known to change a disc or the spinal canal. Many disc bulges ease with time, and they are common even in people without pain (Brinjikji et al., AJNR 2015).
Why are SciatiEase capsules split between breakfast and dinner?
The sales page splits the 4-capsule serving into 2 with breakfast and 2 with dinner (SciatiEase sales page). Taking all four at once is not ruled out by the label images we have.
