Nerve Supplement OTC Options: Tablets, Capsules, Forms
A nerve supplement OTC product is one you can buy without a prescription, and it comes as tablets, capsules, softgels, powders or liquids. OTC does not mean tested or approved. FDA does not approve supplements before sale. Choose a form you will take on schedule, then judge the label by its printed amounts.

What does OTC mean for a nerve supplement?
OTC means over the counter, so no prescription is needed. A nerve supplement is OTC, but it is not an OTC drug.
The difference matters. An OTC drug has an FDA-reviewed label for a stated use. A dietary supplement is not approved for safety or effectiveness before it is sold, and the maker answers for its own label (FDA 101: Dietary Supplements).
That is why supplement labels say "supports" instead of naming a disease. It also means you carry more of the checking yourself.

Which forms do nerve supplements come in?
Nerve supplements come as tablets, capsules, softgels, powders, liquids and sometimes gummies. We found no trial that proves one form works better than another for nerves.
The form changes the practical side. It affects pill size, fillers, taste and whether the product suits your diet.
- Tablets are compact but may hold binders and coatings.
- Capsules are easy to swallow, though gelatin shells are not vegetarian.
- Softgels suit oil-based ingredients.
- Powders and liquids allow flexible doses, but taste and measuring matter.
Absorption claims need care. For example, only about 1.3% of a 1,000 mcg oral B12 dose is absorbed (NIH ODS, Vitamin B12), and alpha lipoic acid absorbs better on an empty stomach (Linus Pauling Inst., Lipoic Acid). These are ingredient facts, not form rankings.
Is SciatiEase an OTC capsule or tablet?
SciatiEase is an OTC dietary supplement sold as capsules, in a white bottle of 120. It is not a tablet, gummy, drop or cream.
The capsule shell is gelatin, so the product is not vegetarian. Microcrystalline cellulose, vegetable stearate and silica make up the other ingredients. A serving is 4 capsules, and a bottle holds 30 servings.
Directions differ by source. The sales page says 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast, with 2 more with dinner if you want more (SciatiEase sales page). The order page gives a different schedule (SciatiEase order page). Our how to use page lays out both. Ask your doctor before taking more than the label serving.
SciatiEase does not replace a prescribed medicine. Keep taking prescribed medicine and ask about changes first.

Red flags such as pain in both legs, numbness around the groin or bottom, bladder or bowel changes, or weak legs need emergency care.

FAQ01
Quick answers on OTC nerve supplements
Can you buy nerve supplements without a prescription?
Yes. Nerve supplements are sold over the counter, so no prescription is needed. That says nothing about proof of benefit. FDA does not approve them before sale, and your doctor or pharmacist can check for medicine interactions.
Are nerve supplement gummies as good as capsules?
We found no trial comparing the two forms for nerves, so we cannot rank them. Gummies often add sugar, and amounts can differ by flavor. Read the panel for the dose per serving either way.
Do OTC nerve supplements have side effects?
They can. Stomach upset, rash and drowsiness are reported with some ingredients, and very high B6 can harm nerves (NIH ODS, Vitamin B6). Start with the label serving, and stop and call your doctor if a reaction appears.
